about us

Costs

There is an annual membership charge of £15.

There is a fixed charge for each fishing trip which remains the same for the whole year.  At the moment this stands at £ and will apply for the whole of 2008. This does not include bait.

What we do

Because we fish almost every month there is a wide range of target fish, including cod, bass, skate (thornback ray), whiting, pollack, plaice, mackerel etc.

We use our own equipment but beginners are welcome to borrow gear on the first trip or use the skipper’s equipment. We are happy to instruct newcomers on the different types of rods/reels etc and on the details of boat fishing techniques - downtiding, uptiding, at anchor, drifting.

The weekly club meetings are always a lively forum for news and debate and a pleasant social club. They are held in the hut behind the pub mentioned above (ask bar staff for directions)
